AmadorArts: Catch the Heart of Hope Before It's Gone - Live Virtual Reception Sept 10

The poignant art exhibit called Heart of Hope is open now with in-person viewing by appointment only at the AmadorArts gallery in the Amador Senior Center in Jackson.  Nothing beats actually being in the room with the pieces submitted by a variety of artists from many locations. The Amador County Arts Council, in partnership with the Amador County Department of Behavioral Health and the Amador Coalition for Suicide Prevention (“AmadorSPEAK”), has provided this art show that celebrates hope, perseverance, and awareness of mental health and wellness. Call 209-256-8166 to make an appointment. The last day to see the art in-person is September 10. The online exhibit is just as spectacular and will remain viewable through the end of September at amadorarts.org/5535-2/heart-of-hope/.

Be sure to tune into the  LIVE VIRTUAL RECEPTION on September 10th at 6PM. Hosted by Executive Director Meghan Joy (“mojo”) O’Keefe, the Facebook LIVE event will feature the art and music of the show, plus mental health presentations from AmadorSPEAK with QPR facilitator Ken Baldwin, Amador County Department of Behavioral Health Therapist Tamara Garner on Art Therapy, and local, certified WRAP facilitator, Vanessa Compton. A Zoom Q&A with these certified wellness practitioners and mental health professionals will follow the virtual tour of this exhibit. The event will be aired live on Facebook, and the recording will later be made available on our website and the AmadorArts YouTube channel.
