AmadorArts: Free Craft Classes Offered by Amador Arts Council

The following three classes --first one is March 13 – are being taught at Amador County Arts Council in Jackson. All classes are 3-5pm and FREE. All are for people 12 and older. Unaccompanied minors must have a signed permission form. The teacher is Shilpa Rasmusson, a local artist, craftsperson, and photographer.

The first one is Friday March 13--specifically for TEENS:  crocheting with t-shirt strips. Each person will need an old cotton t-shirt  of any color (preferably without seams and without any heavy print/embroidery on the torso); a pair of fabric scissors, a ruler and a pen, and a crochet hook. Teacher will have a few crochet hooks, but bring all other items.


Tuesday, April 14 – Learn how to make macrame plant hangers from baling twine, which will be provided. Open to 12 participants.


Tuesday, May 12 -- Learn the ancient art of Tatted Lace. Provided will be tatting shuttles and yarn to go with the shuttles . Class is limited to 8 students.


Pre-registration for each of these FREE classes is required.
