Mt. Zion Church- Fri Nov 8
We are committed to stepping into the invitation to seek more of God. These nights are designed for us to enter into a deeper intimacy with God, as a community, through worship and prayer. Worship and Prayer Nights are dedicated to setting the table for a move of God.
“Elisha: A Tale of Ridiculous Faith”
Can you imagine what could happen if we gave control of our life to God? It’s scary, but the benefits are world-altering. The story of Elisha challenges your congregation to answer God’s calling and take the risks that are necessary to do His will. "Elisha: A Tale of Ridiculous Faith" would work well at a retreat or as part of a mission emphasis. It's time we start taking risks and making decisions the world doesn’t understand. Come see what life can look like when we let go…when we decide to have Ridiculous Faith.
This Sunday, November 10th - Immediately following service Lunch will be provided
Membership is about more than attending church meetings. Members commit to joining a spiritual family that provides encouragement and support. They are called to a biblical degree of responsibility, service and sacrifice.
We hope that, as the Lord leads, you make a covenant to be part of our church family. We want you to make an informed decision about joining our church. Our class covers what it means to be a Mt. Zion Church Member and our beliefs and distinctives.
Sign up at the information table in the church lobby.
THE E.P.I.C.S Potluck Dinner Thursday, November 21st at 6:30 PM Join with the “Over 55er’s” for a great time of food and fellowship! See Ken or Jane Bosworth for more information.
Adult Bible Study Wednesdays, "James – Faith That Works” - The purpose of this study is to help you face squarely James’s call for a consistent Christian life, for a practical faith. We seek to do this through nine studies each covering about half a chapter each. This may not seem like much, but James’s proverb-like compactness calls for it. You may not necessarily like James when you finish. But it is our prayer that through it God will give you a faith that works. Join us at 6:30 PM at the Ministry House.

A Season To Serve Our Community!
Dear MTZ Church Family,
God is trusting us with THREE GREAT OUTREACH EVENTS this holiday season!
*October 25th - WE again have the opportunity to serve the families of the Pine Grove Elementary School for their Harvest Festival! We need to purchase materials to hand out information regarding MTZ Church and we need funding to rent the inflatables.
*November – WE have the opportunity to provide funding for this year’s Thanksgiving Baskets facilitated by the Interfaith Food Bank!
December 22nd – WE will be presenting the Gospel to our community with the Christmas Drama, “An Amador County Christmas”. We need to purchase sets, props and pay for advertising.
We Need Your Participation! This year, we are asking you to prayerfully consider what God would have you give to support these three community outreaches. Just pray and ask God what He would have you give and place your gift in an offering envelope and write in “Outreach”.
Praising God in advance of what He is going to do through us all, Pastor Erik
