This year’s most unusual find was a bag found in the river filled with pink finger nail polish, a fishing knife and a flashlight that is worn on the head. Some other finds were a vintage Coleman camp stove, an almost full gallon of motor oil and an unopened bottle of beer.
The event culminated with barbecue hot dogs and other goodies for everyone. Foothill Conservancy’s annual Mokelumne River Cleanups have been held for 28 years.
We would like to thank all of our participants for their efforts.
Thank you also to our Business Sponsors: ACES Waste Services, Martell Safeway, Mercer Caverns and Munnerlyn’s Ice Creamery.
