AWA District 5 Directfor Art Toy Resigns

Art Toy, representing the Plymouth area’s District 5, has resigned from the Amador Water Agency Board of Directors for personal reasons, effective Sept. 27, 2019.

Toy has served as an AWA director since January, 2010. His current term expires in December, 2022.

The AWA Board of Directors will appoint a replacement to fill the vacant seat. Any registered voter of Amador County Supervisorial District 5 (includes Plymouth, Drytown, River Pines and northern Pine Grove) interested in this position may submit a letter of interest to the Board.

An ad hoc committee of two AWA Board members will review letters of interest, interview applicants and make a recommendation to the full board for approval.

The appointee would serve an interim term of one year. An election to fill the remaining two years of Toy’s four-year term would be held November, 2020.

Letters of interest with brief background information should be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2019, to Cris Thompson, Clerk of the Board, Amador Water Agency, 12800 Ridge Road, Sutter Creek, CA 95685.

Please direct questions to Gene Mancebo, General Manager, or Cris Thompson, at the above address, or by telephone at 223-3018.
