Art Toy, representing the Plymouth area’s District
5, has resigned from the Amador Water Agency Board of Directors for personal
reasons, effective Sept. 27, 2019.
Toy has served as an AWA director since January, 2010.
His current term expires in December, 2022.
The AWA Board of Directors will appoint a replacement to fill the vacant seat.
Any registered voter of Amador County Supervisorial District 5 (includes
Plymouth, Drytown, River Pines and northern Pine Grove) interested in this
position may submit a letter of interest to the Board.
An ad hoc committee of two AWA Board members will review
letters of interest, interview applicants and make a recommendation to the full
board for approval.
The appointee would serve an interim term of one year. An election to fill the
remaining two years of Toy’s four-year term would be held November, 2020.
Letters of interest with brief background information should be submitted by
4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2019, to Cris Thompson, Clerk of the Board, Amador
Water Agency, 12800 Ridge Road, Sutter Creek, CA 95685.
