Voter’s Choice Act ‐ Sign Up for the Voter Education Workshops
A workshop to educate Amador County voters on next year’s new voting processes under California’s Voter Choice Act will take place on Thursday, August 15, however sign‐ups must be received by Wednesday, August 7.
Signups can be made with the Amador County Elections Office by phone at 209‐223‐6270, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you miss this deadline, don’t panic, just give us a call or send an email and we will try to squeeze you in.
The workshop is an important part of the new elections process that begins in 2020. The workshop takes place in the Board of Supervisor Chambers at the Amador County Administration Center.
The workshop, scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on August 15, will address Voter Education and Outreach. It will include a detailed explanation of The Voter’s Choice Act and the Elections Office will be soliciting input from the public to develop a comprehensive outreach program utilizing social media, newspapers, and radio to inform voters of the new process. This session should be valuable for any voter who wishes to understand the new election process, and it will also be useful to those who may wish to participate in the elections process itself.
Anyone interested in knowing more about the election process, or wishing to provide positive and proactive input on the upcoming changes should definitely attend this workshop.
