AmadorArts: TGIF Concert features Four for the Road - Fri Aug 9

Four For the Road at Free August 9 TGIF Concert in Volcano Amphitheatre

The Volcano Amphitheatre is one of the most popular venues of the AmadorArts’ TGIF summer series. So, for all of you heading that way August 9, you’re in for a treat:  Four For the Road is a stylistically diverse group of four seasoned musicians of Amador County who are driven to carve a different sound out of the foothills.

With Joe Bellamy on keyboard, Allan Alexopulos on percussion, Klaudia Promessi on woodwinds and Adam Gottstein on guitar, the music that emanates from this ensemble is both fresh, yet built on traditional rhythms simultaneously. Borrowing from the songbook of “Over the Edge” (three members formerly played in that distinguished band), the new approach to original and selected cover songs sound truly inventive in the hands of these accomplished innovators."Four For the Road" hopes that you will enjoy their interpretation of the universal language … music!

The concert starts at 6:00 pm, but many arrive earlier to these TGIF free events to secure their spots, bringing friends, chairs and picnics. From Highway 88 in Pine Grove, take the Pine Grove-Volcano Rd. to Volcano. The Amphiteatre is on the left. Parking is on the street. Hard to believe, but it can get chilly in Volcano towards the end of the concert; plan accordingly.

AmadorArts, a non-profit public benefit organization in the county for 37 years, is proud to bring these free concerts to the parks of Amador County, as it has for 21 years.  Next Friday, August 16, TGIF will be featuring Darcel & Company in Hanford Gardens in Sutter Creek. For more information, call 209-256-8166 or

Four For the Road are pictured here on the road!
