California Country artist Alice Wallace will perform at Sutter Creek Provisions on Friday, August 9th in support of her latest album Into the Blue. The record was released by the brand-new Rebelle Road label, an imprint founded by a trio of women dedicated to strengthening the California Country music community and expanding visibility for female artists in the Americana/roots genre.
Having spent the past six years writing songs and touring the nation – from AMERICANAFEST to county fairs, barrooms to coffeehouses – Alice Wallace is ready to break out.
Wallace’s topical songwriting hits on such themes as immigration, #metoo, wildfires and her Americana sound nods to the vintage vibe of California music of the 70’s. Linda Ronstadt is a huge influence.
Saving Country Music "Wallace’s voice is a powerful natural occurrence...an awe-striking wonder of the West."
Rock & Blues Muse “With Into the Blue, Alice Wallace has crafted a modern masterpiece.”
No Depression “...you can hear Wallace’s mastery of her craft.”
LA Music Critic “Perfect from start to finish.”
American Songwriter “She’s got the songs, the voice and the determination to make this her life’s work.”
Americana Highways "Wallace could sing an economics textbook and make it sound good."
