This year's Carnival is bigger and better than ever. Hosted by Sierra Baptist Church, the community is really going all out this year. Beyond the church and its numerous volunteer members, the 4th if July Carnival is supported by DAR, CAR, Amador Fire Protection, Amador County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit, ACRA, Jack MaGee, Upcountry Rotary, D3 Community Council, West Point 4-H, Hatfield Petting Zoo, Upcountry Lions, Interfaith Food Bank, TOPS, Volcano Communications and The American Red Cross.

The Carnival is held each year on the 4th of July in Pioneer Park from 11 am - 2 pm.  It features 2 water slides, 2 dunk tanks, a petting zoo, demonstrations by the Sheriff's K-9 Unit, Waterworks by the Amador County Fire Protection District (no fireworks in the Upcountry), Contests, an Arcade, Horseshoes, Popcorn, Shaved Ice, Water, Soft Drinks, Burgers & Hot Dogs with all the trimmings, and other surprises. And it is all Free! 

this 4th of July pack up the kids and grandkids and head out to Pioneer Park on Buckhorn Ridge Road. Take Hwy 88 toward Silverlake and turn Left at Buckhorn Ridge Road at the Carnival Sign. The park is a few miles down Buckhorn Ridge Road on the Left.
