Sutter Creek Gallery - Garden Art Show

The winter rains paid off in verdant fields and abundant wildflowers.  Trees are leafing and blossoming and it looks like the warm weather will stick around.  Sutter Creek Gallery is celebrating the season when we all move outdoors with handcrafted garden art.  The items will be on hand for the next couple of months and will overlap with our May featured artist, oil painter Vickie Chew, and our June artist, jeweler Sandy Morgan—at least while supplies last.

All items have been created by gallery members specifically for this show.  Annie Hughes’ paintbrush has been busy decorating flower pots and outdoor furniture.  Not to be outdone, Cynthia Dunn-Selph covered a chair in blue and white mosaics.  Ree McLaughlan-Brown hand painted a folk-art treasure chest, vintage lanterns and other items.  An abalone and copper windchime was designed by Sandy Morgan, who also planted some decorative mini-containers.  All these and more will be accompanied by paintings, collages and photographs of flowers and gardens throughout the gallery.

Sutter Creek Gallery invites you to stop in to see what will enhance your garden, patio or porch.  The gallery is open Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  For additional information, call 209-267-0228, email or visit
