JACKSON, CA - Artists in all media are invited to show and sell Gold Country-themed art in the Kennedy Gold Mine Barbecue Art Show & Sale, Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 5-9pm.
Included in the art show and sale will be winners of the Kennedy Mine Paint & Shoot Contest that was held in April. Local artist Stephanie Strong and nature photographer John Slot judged the art and photos that were produced outdoors over three days at the historic mine property.
Winners of the 2019 Paint & Shoot contest were Margaret Plumb (First Place Adult Painting), Jennifer Fuller (Second Place Adult Painting), Julie Trail (Third Place Adult Painting), Angela Carpenter (First Place Adult Photo), Terry Moore (Second Place Adult Photo), Richard Mursu (Third Place Adult Photo), Jonathan Burrows (First Place Youth Photo), Jesse Holmes (Second Place Youth Photo).
At the Kennedy Mine Barbecue and Art Show, interested artists may enter up to 4 pieces per artist (space permitting). Works in any media, with a Gold Country theme, are welcome. Art sales benefit the artists and the Kennedy Mine Foundation.

At the Founders Day Barbecue, guests will enjoy a beautiful evening on the Change House Lawn, the Foundation’s famous deep pit barbecue, music by Slade Rivers, raffle, and a live auction of the first place painting and photographs.
