Foundation Aims to Provide Low-Income Children
with Financial Assistance for Organized Sports
The Jackson Rancheria Band of Miwuk Indians will hold a Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Celebration to commemorate the inception of The Dennis Dalton Foundation on Sunday, April 7 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Grand Opening ceremony will include a dedication by Jackson Rancheria CEO Rich Hoffman and a Ribbon Cutting by Tribal Council members, followed by food, refreshments and tours of the new Dennis Dalton Foundation.
The Dennis Dalton Foundation honors the life and legacy of Dennis Dalton, who held a strong passion for assisting underserved children, especially in their pursuit of extracurricular sports activities. Driven by his dedication, the foundation aims to ensure that Native American and/or low-income children in Amador and Calaveras Counties can participate in organized sports, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
Interested families will be able to apply for assistance through the foundation’s website, www.thedennisdaltonfoundation.org, which will launch prior to the Grand Opening. Once approved, the foundation will provide financial assistance for sports fees, a pair of cleats or shoes and one piece of sports equipment, if necessary.
