The Summer Kindergarten Bridge Program is designed for children who will be starting kindergarten in the Fall. Priority enrollment is given to children who have spent little or no time in a preschool setting. The 3-week transition program is designed to introduce incoming students to the structure, rhythm and routine of the kindergarten classroom. It is called a Bridge Program because it aims to help children cross from the pre-kindergarten environment into the kindergarten world. The program has grown each year and will be serving children this Summer at all six school district elementary school sites, including Ione, Jackson, Pine Grove, Pioneer, Plymouth and Sutter Creek.
First 5 Amador is seeking teachers, and teacher’s aides, to serve children at each of these sites.
Dates and times are: Monday - Thursday, 8:00 - 11:30 am, from June 17 through July 3. All hires must also attend an Orientation and complete a Mandated Reporter Training.
These positions are ideal for current kindergarten, transitional-kindergarten, or preschool teachers, aides, or students in the Child Development or Early Childhood Education field. Education and/or experience required.
If interested, please contact First 5 Amador at 257-1092, for more information and an application. Applications can also be found on First 5 Amador's website, at www.first5amador.com. If you are a new applicant, please include copies of any certificates and/or credentials held.
All applications are due no later than 2:00 pm on Friday, March 29.
