AmadorArts: Murder Mystery Fundraiser for Arts Scholarships Return - April 23, 24 & 25

Back for its sixth year is the scramble-your-brains, hilarious who-done-it  Murder Mystery Scholarship Fundraiser put on by the AmadorArts Board of Directors. Due to its past popularity, you may choose between three dates: Tuesday, Wednesday,  or Thursday April 23, 24, or 25.  The doors of the Italian Benevolent Society Party Hall at 581 Highway 49, Sutter Hill, will open at 6:00 pm.

Once again the fundraiser will feature a delicious dinner prepared by the Italian Benevolent Kitchen Crew, along with a no-host bar and a quick raffle for some eclectic items only an arts council can gather up.

The world premier Murder Mystery play this year is another over-the-top original created by Rocky Lane, and it’s called “As the Stomach Turns.” Yes, be ready for a bellyfull of laughs and see how the talent of the stars, local people you might know, will keep you guessing on this tummy-ticking thriller, light on memorized words and heavy on improv. For the best detectives in the audiences, prizes will be awarded.

Tickets are $35 each and include dinner, dessert and all the fun! There’s limited seating and advance sales only. Order them through www.amadorarts.org where there’s a link to Brown Paper Tickets. Also on facebook for AmadorArts. Gather your friends and get your tickets starting March 13. You’re sure to have a rollicking good time while providing the funds for the annual AmadorArts Scholarships to local graduating seniors pursuing the arts in their higher learning.

Those who wait too long to get tickets, may be disappointed as this event often sells out. The Italian Benevolent Society Grounds offer plenty of free parking. The email for AmadorArts is amadorarts@gmail.com;  phone is (209)256-8166.
